Patient Expectations

Patient Expecatations

  1. As a courtesy to our patients/staff/providers, we ask that you contact our office to cancel any scheduled appointment if you are unable to attend. Our office has a “No Call/No Show” policy which, when repeatedly violated, will lead to dismissal from the practice.
  2. All patients/family members and visitors accompanying the patient are expected to be respectful towards all staff/providers. Unresolved behavior issues may lead to a patient’s dismissal from the practice. Inappropriate behavior includes but is not limited to, verbal/physical threats, drug-seeking behavior, and unwanted contact or language.
  3. All phone messages will be returned as soon as possible. Please do not leave more than one brief message. Prescription refills must be requested from your pharmacy allowing sufficient time to be filled. Please do not wait until your prescription is out before contacting your pharmacy. All refills should be faxed to 706-252-8118.
  4. All staff and providers are to be treated equally and with respect.
  5. We will not treat most conditions over the phone and will request that you be seen at our office for appropriate evaluation.
  6. All communications must come through the office and not through employee cell phones or social media sites as these communications will not be addressed.
  7. All patient balances are expected to be paid at the time of receiving a statement. Non-payment of balances may lead to dismissal from the practice. All patient copays are expected at the time of scheduling or check-in.
  8. Patients on any controlled medications will be expected to sign a Controlled Medication Agreement.
